The Treasure Coast and Beyond: Coral Cove Park

Where is Coral Cove Park?

If you are coming from North of Jupiter, Florida, just head down I-95 and take exit 87A, heading East.  This is West Indiantown Road.  Keep going East until you hit Center Street and take a left (North).  Follow Center Street until you hit the A1A and go North.  You will then pass over Highway 1 and it will turn into South Beach Road.  Stay on this road, going East, and you will follow it as it curves to the North.  Keep an eye out on the right side of the road for the Coral Cove Park sign.  There is plenty of room to park.  If my directions seem confusing (probably are), feel free to click on the address so that you can see the location on Google Maps.

The adventure continues…

Coral Cove Park is a beautiful, beach park in Palm Beach County.  Click here to go to their website.  This is a beautiful park that I have visited once before and I knew then that I would be returning.

My niece came to visit us from Indiana for a couple of days and on her last day here I wanted to take her to a place that I knew she would remember before taking her to the airport.  I chose Coral Cove Park because it is more than just sand and water.  During our visit, I took a couple of photos of my niece and daughter as the explored the rocky beach.  While landscapes are what I enjoy the most, there is a part of me that would like to try some portraits… as long as they were taken during sunrise at a beach!  Of course, I can never guarantee a high quality sunrise, but if you are living on the Treasure Coast and are interested, feel free to contact me.

The rocky beach is extremely beautiful, especially at sunrise.  From laying out in the sun, snorkeling, and kayaking, there are many reasons to visit this beach… Even if you just want to sit back and enjoy the view.  As I wandered around looking for shots to take, my imagination began to kick in.  For some reason, I began thinking up stories of a ghost ship.  What it would be like to witness one and the story behind it.  Did it run aground?  Was it sunk in a battle at sea?  If only I could write a story about one.  I had to add a ghost ship to one of my photos in order to have a reminder of these thoughts.  Maybe one day in the future I will try my hand at writing short stories and this picture will trigger some ideas.  Who knows.  For now, I will just stick to the photography.  Maybe some of my photos will inspire one of you to write a story.  Maybe even about the Ghost Ship of Coral Cove!  If you do, please let me read it!

Before leaving, remember to check out my Adventure Gear Store (Click here to check out my store).  These are items that I have bought or would like to buy at some point in the future.  If you know of any other useful items that I don’t have listed, please comment and let me know so that I can check them out!  Thank you for joining me as I explore the Treasure Coast and Beyond!
