The Hutchinson Island Adventure: Bathtub Reef Beach

Where is Bathtub Reef Beach?

If you know where the House of Refuge is, just head South on MacArthur Boulevard a little while longer and the parking lot for Bathtub Reef Beach will be on your left.

The Adventure Continues…

The sun is now beginning to rise later and later now.  For me, that is a very good thing!  On Sunday, June 25, 2017, the sun rose at 6:27 a.m.  The destination for this weeks adventure was at none other than Bathtub Reef Beach. For more information on this beach, check out the Bathtub Reef Beach Website (Click Here).

Don’t ever let anyone tell you that magic is not real.  Along with the many other beaches on the Hutchinson Island, Bathtub Reef Beach is all the evidence you need to prove them wrong!

Bathtub Reef Beach is one of my families “Go To” beaches on the Hutchinson Island.  Since we have younger children, it is perfect for them.  Snorkeling near the reef is an exciting way to spend some time for adults and children, there are plenty of rocks that are waiting to be explored by adventurous children, and the water inside the reef area is calm enough for the kids who haven’t learned to swim or that may be afraid of the bigger ocean waves.

As I walked from the parking lot to the rocky area at the Northern most section of the beach, I was enchanted by the magic of raw nature; the sound of the waves crashing into the reef, the sun slowly ascending from beyond the horizon despite being obscured by a mass of clouds, even the daily routines of the wildlife were all part of the charming effect.  You don’t have to take my word for it.  Pick any beach of your choice and go during sunrise and I guarantee you will be convinced that magic is real!

Sadly, the adventure had come to an end.  I hope you have enjoyed looking at my photographs at least a fraction as much as I enjoyed witnessing the real thing.  Before you leave, take some time to check out my Adventure Gear Store.  It includes items that I have purchased as well as things that I would like to have for future adventures on the beach.  If you know of anything else that might interest me, comment and let me know so that I can add it to my store.  Please feel free to like, comment, and even share my blog with others.  Today’s journey concluded and it has motivated me to look forward to what the future will bring.  Please join me next week as I continue the journey on my Hutchinson Island Adventure!
