The Hutchinson Island Adventure: South Beach Park
Where is South Beach Park?
If you know how to get to the Jetty in Fort Pierce, you aren’t too far from this beautiful beach. Just head a little farther South on Ocean Blvd and the parking lot to South Beach Park will be on your left.

The Adventure Continues!
As summer draws nearer, the sun has risen earlier and earlier. This morning, sunrise at the South Beach Park was set to take place at 6:43 a.m. Not a good thing when you prefer to sleep in! While I have begun to wake up earlier in recent weeks, I believe it is starting to catch up with me. Hitting the snooze button seems to be a favorite hobby of mine; a hobby that my wife doesn’t seem to appreciate.
I arrived at South Beach Park just a few minutes before sunrise. There were more people out than what I am used to seeing but not enough to get in my way. While it was a beautiful morning, I realized that this was they type of day that I wish I had a lens filter accessory kit to use on my camera. I have never used a lens filter before but from what I have read, they could enhance some images when nothing else seems to really stand out. This beach is a pretty cool place to visit and it is within sight of the Jetty. This also means that there are plenty of restaurants nearby if you are wanting to grab something to eat or drink after your visit to the beach.
This morning was also a bit warmer than my other adventures. It is a constant reminder that I really need to start looking for some lighter weight clothes and I definitely need to invest in a good hat. I have never really been a “hat” person but in the two years that I have lived in South Florida, I realize that it is practically required. If you have any suggestions on some clothing, other than swimsuits, that is good for the beach or hiking in hot temperatures, comment below and let me know so that I can add it to my list.
Sadly, the adventure had come to an end. I hope you have enjoyed looking at my photographs at least a fraction as much as I enjoyed witnessing the real thing. Before you leave, take some time to check out my Adventure Gear Store. It includes items that I have purchased as well as things that I would like to have for future adventures on the beach. If you know of anything else that might interest me, comment and let me know so that I can add it to my store. Please feel free to like, comment, and even share my blog with others. Today’s journey concluded and it has motivated me to look forward to what the future will bring. Please join me next week as I continue the journey on my Hutchinson Island Adventure!
